D.U.I.s could result in a lifetime driving ban | Washington DUI Attorney Daniel Murphy Explains:
Our lawmakers are considering to enstrict tigher state laws against driving under the influence after recent cases that left three dead and two critically injured. Roger Goodman, along with other judges, attorneys and law enforement had a meeting to discuss ways to stop impaired indivuduals from driving.
Some of the ideas included making it a felony to have 3 DUIs compared to the current law, 5; this is only if you have the three within 10 years. Also discussed were lifetime driving bans, roadside checkpoints and mandatory installment of interlock devices installed on cars after someone is charged, rather than convicted (This is suggesting that you are guilty before proven innocent which not okay; you are have a presumption of innocence).
